Lewis and Cameron Scobie fought at the JKS World Karate Championships and Cameron became world champion in the 21 and under age group. He has previously been European champion and this year won the Swedish Open. Becoming world champion has been a dream for Cameron who is absolutely delighted to claim the title.

He has competed for Scotland since he was 11 and fought people from all over the world on his way to he final where he won a tough battle against an Israeli opponent.

Their cousin Sam Scobie, who is a pupil at Alloa academy, also became a world champion as he was part of the Scottish team that won gold for the 14 to 16 age group. Lewis made the final of the senior kata.

Lewis and Cameron would like to thank United Closures and Plastic Ltd of Bridge of Allan and Gordon Morson of MacDonald and Morson Dental practice for their kind sponsorship.

Both brothers have made a career out of karate and teach full time in Fife as part of Active Schools.
