POLICE carried out a brief search of Alloa town centre today, after receiving a report of an abusive customer at a bookies.
Officers were called to Betfred on the High Street sometime before 11am this morning (Wednesday, September 21) and interviewed members of staff.
It was reported a punter had been abusive though he had left before police arrived.
Two marked police vehicles and around four officers were observed at the scene.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland told the Advertiser: “There was a report of a man being abusive at the premises, although upon police arrival he had left.”
When asked whether officers were still looking for him, the spokesperson added: "The town centre was searched, but the man was not located. There will be no further police action taken.”
