A BEER by Harvietoun Breweries has been chosen to be part of ALDI's Autumn Beer Festival.

The Alva brewery's Haggis Hunter is now for sale in 67 of the supermarkets across Scotland.

It was hand-picked along with 34 other interesting and exciting Scottish beers and the companies should benefit to the tune of £175,000 between them.

For one in three of the chosen drinks it is the first time they have been stocked in ALDI and the brewery festival, which has been going since 2012, gives many small businesses their first major retail listing, Michael Whiteford, Buying Director ALDI Scotland, said: “What better way for us to help aid the transition into the autumn months than by launching our tenth beer festival – a celebration of some of the best breweries in Scotland.

“We’ve built a strong relationship with each brewery and with demand for local produce higher than ever, we’re expecting the Beer Festival to be a sell-out success.“We look forward to working with these new and existing suppliers to bring our customers a great selection of Scottish beer at the best prices.”
